You must ensure eating foods that cool your body and hydrates your body. Load up on fruits like watermelons, strawberries, pears, apples, plums, berries etc. Pick vegetables like broccoli, cucumbers, asparagus.
2. Avoid Foods That Heat You Up
Avoid foods that heat you up in summers. Especially, meat as they heat up your body. Avoid sour fruits, citrus foods, carrots. Limit intake of garlic, chili, tomato, cheese, cream.
3. Avoid Hot Bath
If you love hot showers or hot bath, you need to avoid in summers. As hot showers heat up your body and you can’t stay cool in summers. As hot showers open all your pores from the body and heat up your body.
Therefore, have cold water showers in summers to keep body cool in summer.
4. Avoid Cold Drinks
Ice cold drinks only inhibit digestion and create toxins. Your digestive system has a digestive fire that is responsible for converting food into energy. But by drinking cold drinks digestive fire becomes off and this leads to various health problems.
5. Avoid Hot Beverages
It is ok to drink hot water early in the morning in summers. But not the whole day because drinking hot beverages whole day invite an upset pitta dosha. Hence, drink beverages at room temperature in order to balance with your body.
